WHAT IS THE HONOR OATH?

The Honor Oath is an annual oath that is required for accreditation by the Environmental Cleaning Organization or ECO. It is a declaration of the company’s focus on environmentally sound cleaning practices, products and equipment. A principal of the company applying for ECO Accreditation must complete the oath exam annually to affirm the company’s continuing commitment to environmental principles.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE OATH?

ECO, created for cleaning contractors worldwide, has as its primary goal, to help spread environmental awareness to the extent that all contractors implement environmentally sound cleaning procedures and techniques into both their business models and daily operating routines.

The Honor Oath Oath was implemented in 2019 and requires the principal owners of the business to testify to, under personal oath, an overarching commitment to address environmental concerns on each and every job.
